Rising Stars Preschool is so thankful to once again be a Sunriver Women’s Club (SRWC) grant recipient in 2019. SRWC has long been a generous supporter of Rising Stars Preschool. This year, Rising Stars Preschool applied for a $2,500 grant to help us continue to fund our Scholarship Program for families in need. As a non-profit preschool, we strive to keep our tuition low for our families. Many of our families do not qualify for Headstart (or Headstart may be full), yet may still not make enough to afford our monthly tuition. Through our Scholarship Program, we are able to offer qualifying families half-price tuition discounts.
During the 2018/2019 school year, Rising Stars Preschool was able to offer ten scholarships to families in need. Their preschool children were able to attend preschool at Rising Stars and participate in a program which strives to offer developmentally appropriate instruction with a focus on social and emotional school readiness. With the continued support of the SRWC, Rising Stars Preschool will be able to once again offer scholarships, an amazing investment in our community and its youth!
Thank you, SRWC!! You are all amazing and your work is having real results for the children and families in South Deschutes County! We appreciate you and all your efforts on the behalf of our organization and all of the others you support!

Such a fun and exciting time for the older class at Rising Stars Preschool… these kids are about to graduate from Rising Stars and transition into Kindergarten at La Pine Elementary next fall. Last week, a group of our preschoolers, along with some parents and teacher, Ms. Anne, walked over to La Pine Elementary for a fun time in a Kindergarten classroom, meeting the teachers, participating in a classroom activity, touring the school and playing on the BIG playground. This is called the “Kindergarten Jump Up Day.”
These kids were excited, may be nervous, but are well prepared to transition into Kindergarten… though no transition is without its adjustment period (for parents as well!!). We will miss these faces, but are so happy to have played a small role in helping them prepare for kindergarten and beyond!

Great People with a great heart for working with children.
My son absolutely loves coming to this preschool! He has learned such valuable social skills during his time here. Ms. Anne and Ms. T are wonderful with all the kids.
